Sometimes the best strategy to get people with autism to get out, meet people, and so much more is to focus on their interests. I remember a boy I worked with who was 13 other people had tried working with him, but failed to get him out of the house. I on the other hand had success. I took him to places he would enjoy the Nintendo store, the zoo, and pet store (he liked animals).
This also applies to work if they have an interest see if they can make money from that interest. If they love that work they may be better at it than other people.
